SunsHyne Corridor is a strategic infrastructure initiative that will enable the transport of green hydrogen from North Africa to demand centres in Central Europe. Five leading European gas transmission system operators Snam, TAG, Eustream, NET4GAS and OGE are working together to rapidly implement this important segment of the European Hydrogen Backbone to overcome the chicken and egg problem. This will lead to a non-discriminatory and competitive hydrogen market, which is seen as a prerequisite to achieve EU decarbonization targets.

In the Czech Republic, the southern route from Lanžhot to Waidhaus is part of the SunsHyne corridor, for which NET4GAS has applied for PCI status. The hydrogen corridor will also supply hydrogen consumers along the route in Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. More details can be found on the website www.sunshynecorridor.eu.
