Dispatching

NET4GAS Dispatching operates a supervisory service that monitors company network of gas pipelines that transport natural gas across the Czech Republic to consumers domestically and abroad. The NET4GAS Dispatching control system monitors important data about the condition of all equipment and is vital to ensuring reliable delivery.

NET4GAS Dispatching is responsible for the following activities related to the operation of the transmission system:

• Flexible Operation including the continual supervision of the gas transmission system; the establishment of required operational/technical parameters and the configuration of the gas line system; operational monitoring and evaluation including underground storage; and the nomination, acceptance, verification and re-nomination of customers and shippers.
• Operational Planning and Evaluation including the planning of shutdowns and the maintenance of the transmission system; forecasting the use of the transmission system; evaluating transmission results; monitoring and evaluating deviations between nominations and actual data; flexible contract usage and gas volume specification to ensure balanced operations; the specification and evaluation of underground storage usage; and the supervision and implementation of activities at the Waidhaus border gas transfer station.
• Net Schedule Management (in the context of operational planning and evaluation) including the establishment of parameters to ensure optimum operation; operational simulation and evaluation of differences between the optimised operation plan and actual data; operational assessments of the impact of shutdowns and planned maintenance; system configuration and design; and capacity evaluation.
• Communication and Services including communication with dispatching units of associated transmission companies, distributors and other areas of NET4GAS (e.g. commercial, underground storage).

NET4GAS Dispatching provides national emergency prevention as well as emergency monitoring of the Czech Republic’s gas system.

NET4GAS Dispatching is currently involved in the Control System Innovation project, which is focused on the replacement of the present control system.
